Quest Online Homework

What is Quest, what does it do for you?
  • Quest has an online question bank of math and science questions available for creating homework assignments.
  • The interface provides teachers with the flexibility to pick and chose specific questions and grading schemes to meet the needs of their classes, such as:
    • Setting grade boundaries
    • Students receive results as they work
    • Students may have the opportunity to fix missed questions (for a decreasing amount of credit for the 2nd, 3rd, etc attempt)
    • Students get immediate feedback for scores
    • Students can be provided with grading scheme
    • The order of questions and answers are changed for each student
    • Some questions change numbers within the problem, resulting in different answers
    • For this reason, students may "discuss" (not help) each other on the assignment
  • In our class I hope to use this on a weekly basis as a way to extend learning and allow students to monitor their mastery of material in real time.
    • Once the assignment is complete, students are provided with a mark scheme that provides explanations and calculations for their individual exam. This can be downloaded as a pdf file and saved for future reference
    • Here is an example of Aatha's:
  • Assignments will be posted on the assignment sheet for students
